Who is this Wombat guy anyway?

My name is Jim White, but I've been known as T.W.Wombat for well over half my life now. I've been gaming for even longer, starting with Stratego and Careers in 4th grade, moving on to my first D&D Basic Set in 1981 (Moldvay), and continuing to branch out into other games from there. I tend to split my time between RPGs and board games, since I don't have the bandwidth to devote to RPG world development like I once did. I've GMed for as long as I've roleplayed, and I'm always up for trying something new.

How can I help you?

I provide editing and writing services for RPGs and other games. I've taken on the title Vanquisher of Befuddlement because I strive to make anything I work on easier to read, understand, and use. I've run the gamut from reordering a book for better overall flow, to rewriting text for readability, to straight proofreading and style formatting corrections. I can help you smooth out the clunky passages in your rulebook, adventure, or supplement and clarify your ideas.

If you want to contact me, please pick your favorite method from the Wombat Stalking page.

What about your blog?

I blog about games because I believe keeping ideas in my head will eventually cause an aneurysm. Plus it's a fun and healthy outlet in an otherwise 8-to-4 workday with 3.5 hours of commute time. I take myself to other worlds, including the Metaplane of GM Shortcuts, and paint a vision of what I see using words. I'm currently working on a simplified system to model political and economic management, a method to prepare for improvisation, and documenting an RPG that I'm running for kids.

Don't hesitate to contact me with questions or comments, but please let me know where you found my contact information.
