Who is this Wombat guy anyway?

My name is Jim White, but I've been known as T.W.Wombat for well over half my life. I've been gaming for even longer, starting with Stratego and Careers in 4th grade, moving on to my first D&D Basic Set in 1981 (Moldvay), and today I try to learn new games as often as possible. I tend to split my time between RPGs and board games, since I don't have the bandwidth to devote to RPG world development like I once did. I've GMed for as long as I've roleplayed, and I'm always up for trying something new.

How can I help you?

I provide editing and writing services for RPGs and other games. I strive to make anything I work on easier to read, understand, and use. If I need to read a passage more than once to figure out what's going on, chances are everybody else will need to do the same. I've done various levels of editing, including reordering a book for better overall flow, testing and debugging rules, checking an entire manuscript for consistency, rewriting text for grammar and readability, and straight proofreading and style formatting corrections. I can smooth out the clunky passages in your rulebook, adventure, or supplement and help you clarify your ideas. If you need some help focusing your Kickstarter pitch, give me a shout before you launch.

If you want to contact me, please pick your favorite method from the Wombat Stalking page.

Aren't you that notebook guy?

Yep. As of November 2014 I've started selling notebooks over at Wombat's Workshop. take a look and let me know if anything appeals to you. I do custom orders if you have something specific in mind. Want a cool little gift for your writer/gamer friends, or maybe a Kickstarter extra? Drop me a line.

What about your blog?

I blog about games because I believe keeping ideas in my head will eventually cause an aneurysm. Plus it's a fun and healthy outlet in an otherwise 9-to-5 workday. I take myself to other worlds, including the Metaplane of GM Shortcuts, and paint a vision of what I see using words. I'm currently working on detailing my Fellport setting project for #Lore24, so stay tuned.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with questions or comments, and please let me know how you tripped across my page.

Thanks for visiting!

What does this mean?

I've had some pins made as a reminder to be kind to myself and others.
