The Positive Sum Project

Life is more than a zero-sum game.

What does this mean?

It’s a positive sum.
Literally, it means “The sum is greater than zero”.
If we consider this in relation to game theory and life, we get "Life is more than a zero sum game".
You can just stop there, but my next logical thought asks “How we can raise each other’s score right now?”

I wanted a touchstone that I can wear, so I decided to make myself a metal pin. I made a few extra while I was at it.

Every time I notice it, my memory triggers:
It reminds me that I can help others, and that I should help others.
It reminds me that accepting help should not make me feel like a failure.
It reminds me to act with kindness whenever possible.
It reminds me that we’re all in this thing together, so why shouldn’t we make things easier for each other?

Why shouldn’t we help each other right now?

If you feel the same, I have a limited number of these pins available for sale. They measure 1 1/4 x 5/8 inches (30 x 15 mm), and they're $8 each (2 for $15 or 3 for $20). I’ll have them available at PAX East 2024 Thursday through Saturday. Message me and we can meet up. I’ll add a link here to purchase them online, so stay tuned.
